Trump's abuse, threats and obscenity: Have the global media and mediators now become only the protectors of Israel's interests?
The helplessness of the global media and the few brave voices that are still alive in opposition to Trump

Special Investigation Report: Malik Sarfaraz Hussain Awan, Investigative Journalist, Social Guardian, Humanitarian, Resident Editor Daily First Times Islamabad The United Nations Security Council has once again failed to issue conventional and limited statements. While the countries that have emerged as mediators around the world are also busy trying to persuade Iran to surrender instead of putting clear pressure on US President Donald Trump’s illegal policies, obscenities, abuses and threats by calling them false and wrong.
This effort is being called “mediation” and “diplomacy” at the global level. This situation is just like the example of a village where a weak person clashes with a strong person, the local so-called community becomes the mediator and forces the poor and weak person to give up his rights. The US launched an illegal war by attacking Iran’s sovereignty during negotiations at the behest of Israel. The international community clearly refused to help US President Trump in this strategy and action.
If it is said that President Trump may be holding the presidency of a superpower, his status is no longer that. The international community has begun to consider him, in subdued terms, as the protector or watchman of Israel's interests. The media is unable to publish this fact openly.
At present, there are only a few selected journalists and analysts left in the world who are not only openly criticizing Donald Trump's policies but are also condemning them in strong words. Among them, the name of Pakistani anchors and analysts is prominent. Pakistan's leading analyst and anchor Mubashir Luqman has called Trump's threats "helpless and crazy" in his program "Khabarin Mere Aakna Mein". He openly said that Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz and Trump's threats are an admission of the helplessness of the American superpower. Mubashir Luqman has repeatedly raised the issue that Trump is flouting international laws for the sake of Israel's interests and that the Muslim world, including Pakistan, is having to bear the brunt of this war. His criticism has been intense and bold.
Senior journalist and anchor Irshad Bhatti called Trump's vulgar language and threats "inhuman and fanatical". In his program "On the Front", he clearly said that Trump's strategy is dangerous not only for Iran but also for the entire world. Irshad Bhatti also said why world powers should not put pressure on Trump instead of subduing Iran. The intensity and boldness of his criticism has been noticeable.
Hamid Mir wrote in his columns and programs that Trump has now become Israel's "watchman" and his language and behavior are severely damaging the prestige of the American state. He also said that Trump's policies are not only damaging Iran but also the economy of developing countries like Pakistan.
Faisal Vawda openly called Trump's threats "fascist thinking" and said that a person who considers himself the master of heaven and hell is actually a psychopath. He demanded that the international community put real pressure on Trump. Ammar Masood and Naseem Zahra also strongly condemned Trump's illegal war and vulgar language.
Naseem Zahra said, "This is not mediation, but a conspiracy to subdue the weak." Some journalists are also strongly opposing Trump at the global level.
Shahzeb Khanzada has also openly criticized Trump's policies. He clearly said in his program that "Trump's language and behavior are a source of shame not only for Iran but also for the entire human civilization. If the president of a superpower resorts to abuse and threats, this is the biggest proof of his political and moral failure." Shahzeb Khanzada called Trump a "psychopath" and said that his strategy is bringing the region to the brink of war.
American analyst Tucker Carlson called Trump's recent threats "vile on every level" and said that it is a threat to "end a civilization" which is unacceptable. Former US Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene called Trump's threats "evil and madness" and called for the 25th Amendment. Bernie Sanders called Trump "dangerous and mentally unbalanced" and called for immediate action by Congress.
Chuck Schumer called Trump an "unhinged madman". Analysts at Al Jazeera, Middle East Eye, The Guardian and The Intercept are also openly condemning Trump's illegal war and obscene language.
These are the few journalists and anchors who are openly opposing Trump despite global pressure and fear. The rest of the media is either silent or limited to conventional statements. This situation reflects the fact that the number of journalists who speak the truth in today's world is rapidly decreasing.
In this era of helplessness of the UN Security Council, the truth of those who claim to be mediators, and the silence of the media, these few journalists are the voices trying to awaken the global conscience. If these voices are silenced, then the illegal wars of the powerful will never stop. What the world needs most right now is bold journalists who do not bow down to power. The voices of Mubashir Luqman, Irshad Bhatti, Hamid Mir, Tucker Carlson, Bernie Sanders and a few other courageous journalists are proof that truth is still alive — but its numbers are rapidly dwindling. If the international community and the media do not put clear pressure on Trump’s illegal policies, the coming times could be very dangerous. An attack on Iran’s sovereignty is actually an attack on all sovereign countries. If Iran succumbs today, tomorrow another country will suffer the same fate.
