your balmy hand close to my ruddy cheek

telling me stories about how we met

afternoons in the sun

waiting for the bus

taking us somewhere else

from others

pink flowers witnessed our first kiss

stolen from the crowd

“she’s mine!”

you shouted, and I blushed

my skin hot, sun-soaked

love poems
