I donāt belong here, I said to myself
I swallowed. They grinned.
I shifted my weight. They laughed.
I opened my mouth to speak. He interrupted.
I coughed. She shushed.
āThanks for coming!" he said warmly. "See you next time?ā
I blinked, surprised.
āYeah, Iād like that.ā

Thereās something quietly hopeful in the ending. Despite all the discomfort and doubt, the speaker still says yes to coming back. That small step feels bigger than it looks, like choosing to try again even when itās hard.
