Yesterday Was Easter
Author's Note: We hoped to find a place for all 16 people attending, but it wasn't to be. Our initial plan was to go to their building site and have the event at a large picnic table. The snow interfered with that plan. So, at the last minute, we called around. Nothing open until 6:30, which was too late for the young families to get together. It would be fast approaching bedtime for the babies. We decided to have everyone come to our house, which has plenty of space for us, but it is a stretch when bringing in some youngsters who need space to run and play, and outdoors is mostly out of the question. My daughter forgot the 100 plastic eggs she filled with candy and money. Another weekend when at the build site she said. “That way there will be no snow for them to track in and out.” After hearing that, I thought about how I too thought that would happen, and fogot to say something. That is what happens when you are not on Easter bunny duty anymore.

Honey Bunny
I walked into the room, and John started to sing: Ohhh... John is so smart and Denise is a fart Ohhh... John is a tart And the laughter was on... I said, "Oh really, you are a tart? Perfect! I will not forget this! Serves you right for calling me a fart!!"

A Mouse In The House
Walking into the kitchen one morning, I could smell something burning. There was a mouse whose tail was caught in the burner. I hollered for my husband. He arrived, took the mouse out of the fire, hit it on the head with a hammer. Damn you, Paul.

Golden Gloves Boxing
Author's note: My grandson is fighting his second bout tonight. He won his first fight a few weeks ago at 170, and now this week he is fighting at 160. For the first weight class, he had to gain weight, and for this class, he had to cut weight.

I Am An Old Woman
Yes, lots of hair! Then I remember that the worst thing in my life when I was younger was my new perm! I hated how it took days and sometimes weeks to be able to work with it. Today, my hair is thinning, and the worst thing in my life is the predicted 30 mph wind for today. I cover the thinning parts the best way I can, and then the wind totally messes with it.
