Countdown to Destruction?
The hours are counting down when Trump must deliver on his expletive and extremist statement of destroying Iran's infrastructure and sending it back to the Stone Age. This statement expresses anger and frustration. Despite everything that the US and Israel have dropped on Iran, the Islamic Republic has not buckled. It has hit back at US bases in Gulf countries and Israel. Iran has not acquiesced to an American ceasefire and is only allowing vessels through the Strait of Hormuz that are not attacking it.

THE MIRROR OF DESPOTISM: Caligula, Trump, and America
I am sitting in my living room, vibrating at a frequency that shouldnât be possible without a prescription or a lightning strike. The air smells like burnt ozone and wet dog; I just gave my dog a bath, and heâs taken up the couch next to me. Outside, the American experiment is wheezing on its side in the gutter, and nobody is calling an ambulance because weâre all too busy filming the death rattle for the âGram, and hoping itâs our video that goes viral.

The "Benefits Cliff"
The System Is Not Cash, It Is Replacement For a family of five in Salem, Oregon, the low-income support system is not built primarily on direct cash transfers. It is built on a small number of high-impact programs that function as after-tax purchasing power, replacing major expenses rather than adding to pre-tax income. This distinction matters because it changes how the system must be evaluated. Income is taxed before it becomes usable, while benefits replace costs that would otherwise require after-tax dollars. That means these programs effectively operate as a parallel income structure, but one that is locked into specific categories such as food, housing, childcare, and healthcare rather than flexible cash.

Alleged F-35 Shot Down.
In war, all sides put out propaganda to big up their own side and belittle their enemy. From the beginning of time right up until this Iran war, this has been the way of things. It shows something animalistic in humans, something primordial that connects deep to our primate core. Like gorillas beating their chests, making themselves look bigger and mightier than their rivals. We humans still do this, but with propaganda. Some propaganda is truthful, some propaganda is a mixture of truth and lies, and other propaganda is downright deception. All to make it look like we are winning and our enemies are losing. It's simple, primitive, but effective.

Is Britain Becoming Intolerant of Dogs?
Every time a dog attacks a person in the UK, it gets major coverage. Yes, the attack by a dog, if it results in death or injury, is horrible. And it is understandable why people want tighter laws on dogs. The government has clamped down on so-called aggressive dogs like XL bulldogs. However, is it actually the dog's fault?
