I'm the guy who knows every last fact about Spider-man and if I don't I'll track it down. I love bad movies, enjoy table-top gaming, and probably would drive you crazy if you weren't ready for it.

It's All About The Love For Animals: The Zoophile Subclass
Lizbeth had to deal with a great elk and the druid who wanted to stop it. The elk had been targeting humans coming into its forest and the druid wanted to stop it. She had put herself between the two, literally. She yelled at the druid in his own tongue. “Have you tried talking to it?”

Some Simple Problems With The SAVE Act
One of the more problematic bills under debate in Congress is the Safeguard American Voting Eligibility Act, or the SAVE Act. The act would require that voters travel to a physical place to register and then present multiple documents (an identification card of some sort, proof of citizenship, and possibly proof of name change) to an official. While all of this looks pretty simple, there are plenty of issues with the bill that should make it of questionable import.

Like The Ashes of Lanterns on the Wind
One of the problems with living in the swamp is that there is no horizon. The other is the random appearance of the wisps. The lantern’s glow reminded me of the little pests, each a lantern unto itself. Sometimes, like tonight, they would cover the swamp. Like people, there were many types of wisps, and the problem was figuring out which were which, especially given how identical the flames were to each other. If you followed the right ones, you could become a richer person, but if you followed the wrong ones, you could become as ashes in the wind.

Tattoos & Rail Guns Chapter 22: Last Minute Preparations
Lieutenant Sawyer was not the only one who had grabbed a quick shower and meal. Rodriguez had gone off to grab a drink or two; he wouldn't get drunk until the mission was over. Samuels had of course disappeared as quickly as possible; his supposed girlfriend had to see him every night or she would call the barracks incessantly; his going to her was a mercy to everyone else. Rodriguez had never met her; it was Samuels’ business so he didn’t pry. Kev had been dismissed but would be summoned as soon as there was a plan.

The Speedster: The Fastest Warlock Alive!
Taz ran by the field at full speed. He had had to run up the cliff that protected it, no doubt surprising some soldiers who weren’t expecting someone to run up the walls protecting this field. He quickly estimated how many soldiers were camped here, made some notes, and then ran out as fast as he could. He made the mistake of running straight for the exit. He stopped for a moment to focus, allowing magic to enhance his speed even further. He was struck by a couple of arrows, but they didn’t hurt as much as they should. They had closed the door in front of the cliff walls. He smiled as he passed through it like a ghost. The information he had gathered would make it through to his superiors.

I'm of Two Minds: The Possesed Warlock
Kellard was in a jam. A dozen soldiers were headed in his direction. I told you your party would desert you. He exhaled. “Fine, but can you help me get out of this mess?” If I have to. Sacrifices for the Balance Chapter 9: Life on the Front
Percival has to deal with the cold war at home and finds a clue while Wendy does some research. As Percival walked into his trailer, he wasn't sure whether he should be amused or worried. Nier had wasted no time in putting up the obligatory “NO ENTRANCE” sign on his door. Establishing his territory. How cute. Roderick was planted in front of the television playing GTA5, next to him was a large bottle of beer and a bowl of pepperoni ends on the table, his go-tos on a rough day. It didn't take the skills of the tribe's best investigator to figure out why.

Sacrifices For The Balance Chapter 10: Two Meetings, Two Very Different Groups
The SUV pulled up to the gate just outside the headquarters of the Double L Bar Ranch. The ranch had long stopped ranching, and had become the corporate headquarters of the company. While there were still cows on the land, it was a small herd for show purposes. The land itself was mostly a wildlife sanctuary, with some tourism; the tourism was about one-third bird field researchers, one-fourth actual tourists, and the rest were bird watchers. What little area was left was for the research area, where they were always trying out new farming techniques. Lady Astor parked and walked into the main building.

Sparrow on a Plank Chapter 20: Of Fake Books, Exploding Pirates, and Raiding Vikings
Prince Ta's office was an organized mess. He kept clipboards of current projects, with people and events linked logically by strings of six different colors. He had a stack of papyrus right next to a well-used quill. He even had books of cases, closed and open. But there seemed to be papers everywhere, covering virtually every surface. He had a nice oak desk somewhere underneath the papers.

The Family Totem: A Warlock Who is All About Honor Above Glory
Junpei had told Lord Ona that he would defend the gate, ensuring that no one would enter. Neko lay nearby, purring as usual, but then she woke up, ready for action. He asked the cat to walk over to where the attackers would come through; the cat grudgingly did so. He focused inwardly, becoming inspired and ready for battle. A demon entered the area before the gate; Junpei laughed at the illusion. Three samurai entered the area; he grinned at the challenge. They readied their bows. He had Neko grapple the leg of one of the samurai and concentrated for a moment. The samurai felt the chill of death as his life force ebbed from his chill touch. They charged. He summoned a glowing sword in front of him. The samurai sliced at him. Two of them hit. The glowing sword sliced one down. He himself sliced at another samurai.
