10 Vampire (and Vampiric Creatures) Movies and TV Shows!
1. Nosferatu (1922) Count Orlok (Max Schreck) is a sinister man, or whatever it is, but despite this, there is something sad about the vampire-man. Orlok seems cursed, maybe even diseased — a theme elaborated upon more by Werner Herzog's re-telling of this tale in 1979 (more on that later). It's also fairly common knowledge that "Nosferatu" was almost a lost film, and not just due to random ravages of time. "Dracula" author Bram Stoker's heirs had successfully sued to have F. W. Murnau's film destroyed, but some copies sneakily survived, which is why we can still enjoy this movie today.

10 Movies with Memorable Magic Elements. Top Story - January 2022.
1. The Wizard of Oz (1939) Based on L. Frank Baum's fantastical novel, Victor Fleming's "The Wizard of Oz" is about a young lady, Dorothy Gale (Judy Garland), whose life either becomes full of magic (or she suffers a head injury and hallucinates wildly). Living with her Aunt Em (Clara Blandick) and Uncle Henry (Charley Grapewin) on a farm, Dorothy seems to lead an alright life, though she does have fantasies about getting away, demonstrated in song form. The escapist aspirations are made more serious after a grouchy woman, Almira Gulch (Margaret Hamilton), threatens to have Dorothy's rebellious pet dog Toto destroyed!

Serial Killer Daniel Camargo Barbosa: 'The Sadist of Chanquito'
Daniel Camargo Barbosa murdered anywhere between 72 and 180 young girls in Colombia and Ecuador in the 1970s and 1980s. Similar to serial killer Luis Garavito (known as "La Bestia" or "The Beast"), Daniel Camargo Barbosa seems to also often escape mention when it comes to lists of "the worst serial killers." However, make no mistake that he certainly would deserve to be on any such list.

'What would your customer do? Potentially, whatever you want them to. Bwahahaha!'
Remember that saying of “the customer is always right”? Well, a lot of businesses probably don't truly like that premise. Honestly, I can't fully blame them. After all, who is right all the time? Then again, businesses don't care so much about straightforward logic like that. They are not flesh-and-blood human beings. They care more about the money being right, especially when it's directed to them.

GG Allin: Shock Rock's Greatest Poop Slinger(?!)
Here I am taking a brief look at the life of notorious shock-rocker Kevin Michael "GG"/Jesus Christ Allin. You know, the guy who is known for cutting or beating himself up on stage, headbutting women in his audience, or throwing poop around, or drinking it, and stuff like that. THAT GG Allin. Even though I'm far from a super fan, I do know some people who talk about GG Allin a lot -- in fact, way too much (one person I know apparently even corresponded with him). So he has obviously had an impact on people, for better or worse.

Diet Basics: Not All Fats Are Equally Bad (Apparently)
It's always a bit weird for someone like myself to discuss health and diet. Frankly, I am not very healthy and, at best, might consider myself a work in progress. Really, I should emphasize that this article is largely what I gather based on life experience, knowledge, articles I've read, and some elements of folk knowledge.

Avoid People, Avoid Problems (Remote Work, A.I., Newbie Culture, and Workplace Disaster Avoidance)
I've long been a misanthrope, and the events of 2020-2021 seem to only validate my hatreds and suspicions further. Still, I don't wish to be a simpleminded people-basher. There is somewhat of an opportunity to broaden my horizons through moderate misanthropy, maybe even making it work for people rather than against them. In fact, I think my misanthropic views might provide valuable insights into improving the workplace (such as it is). How's that for a bold concept?

After All These Years, I'm Still Not a Partisan Hack (Despite the Two-Party System's Best Efforts). Here's Why!
I was not a fan of Hillary Clinton before, during, or after 2016. For one thing, she voted for the Iraq War and other so-called "military interventions." I knew that she, just like Donald Trump, and so many others, could take us into another bullshit war at any moment.

Dhu Shanatir, Killer King: Power, Deceit, and Parallels with Other Historical Serial Killers
As rulers go, Dhu (or Zu) Shanatir was not only a king (of the Himyarite Kingdom) in the region now known as Yemen. He was truly a special case, according to what I've read. Rather than only being corrupt or war-like, the historical record forever has him pegged as a serial child rapist and murderer, who reigned from the years 478-490.
